Rômulo Moraes (Juiz de Fora, 1996) is a Brazilian writer, sound artist and ethnographer.

PhD candidate in Ethnomusicology at The City University of New York (CUNY, Graduate Center) with a Fulbright/CAPES Scholarship, he holds a Masters in Culture and Communication from ECO-UFRJ and a Certificate in Transdisciplinary Studies from The New Centre for Research & Practice.

Currently, he's researching phenomenologies of imagination, post-mediatic maximalism, the entwinement of pop and experimental (in all artforms), and the cosmopoetics of crate digging. Specific interests include comparative mythology, internet anthropology, speculative realism, fantasy and scifi, the African diaspora, and Brazilian popular music.
